Weston Bennett, U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant and Syracuse Cheerleader, was recognized at the Syracuse University football senior game on November 30, 2019. Bennett enlisted in the Army in 2016 and attended New Mexico Military Institute earning his commission in 2018 in the Military Intelligence Corps.
Today Bennett is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying sociology and serves in the New York State National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Battalion in Utica, NY. This spring, Bennett will graduate from Syracuse University where he intends entering the Army as an active-duty Aviation Officer.
