U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Trayvon Wynn enlisted into the New York Air National Guard on May 14, 2015, as an Operations Manager and was assigned to the 174th Civil Engineering Squadron at Hancock Field in Syracuse, New York. Staff Sergeant Wynn provided support to the entire base ensuring the Hancock Field flight line and all facilities were always fully operational.
In 2019 Staff Sergeant Wynn volunteered to deploy to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait for six-months in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. During this six-month period, he was instrumental in the creation of 5,600 facility work orders and the procurement of $360,000 dollars in materials and supplies. His efforts were vital to sustaining facilities and a base infrastructure valued at almost $3 billion. For his deployment accomplishments, Staff Sergeant Wynn was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with a Gold Border.
Today, Staff Sergeant Wynn is currently a local Air National Guard Recruiter at the 174th Attack Wing stationed at Hancock Field in Syracuse. As a recruiter, Staff Sergeant Wynn has directly impacted over 30 people’s lives by providing amazing career opportunities in the Air Force. In his unique leadership role, Staff Sergeant Wynn has the responsibility of mentoring and molding future leaders and he is highly involved in the community and dedicates his time to municipal service in the local area.
