United States Army Veteran Amanda Sullivan was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, IL. In 2014, she enlisted in the Army and attended basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and received military occupation training as a supply specialist at Fort Lee, Virginia.
She then reported to the 19th Engineer Battalion at Fort Knox, Kentucky and was assigned to 541st Combat Engineering Company (Sapper). While there, she served as the unit’s primary armorer through training rotations at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, and the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Later, she went on to serve at Fort Lee, Virginia with 54th Quartermaster Company (Mortuary Affairs), where she was responsible for updating the company’s logistics program through the integration of Systems, Applications, and Products or SAP.
Amanda is now a junior at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, pursuing a degree in Accounting and is involved with the Office of Veteran and Military Affair’s Veteran Career Services, Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE), and the Student Veterans Organization.
In her free time, she enjoys yoga and volunteering at Helping Hounds.
