Hometown Hero: Bradley Balach

United States Army veteran and Syracuse University Law Student, Bradley Balach (say: Ball-ish) was born in Warwick, New York, and he enlisted in the United States Army right out of high school in 2014. He attended basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Benning, Georgia to become an infantryman.

The Balaches

Sergeant Balach served in the Army for seven years holding key leadership positions from infantry team leader to assistant operations sergeant. He served in the 25th Infantry Division in Schofield (say: Sko-field) Barracks, Hawaii, the 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Cavazos (say: Kah-Vase-Ohs), Texas and in South Korea.

Today, Brad lives in Liverpool, New York with his wife Kaliegh (say: Kay-Lee) and son, Brady. Brad is a 3rd year law student at Syracuse University’s School of Law, and he will graduate in May 2024. He will return to military service with the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
