National Security Studies (NSS) is a premier professional development program for senior civilian and military executives in both the public and private sectors provided through Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs. The curriculum of this executive education program will include topics of foreign policy, intelligence, terrorism/counterterrorism, management, leadership, homeland security, global economics, and trouble spots around the world, to an array of current challenges facing the nation. The course specifically focuses on a wide spectrum of leader development competencies.
The class of 2021 received a glimpse at the long-standing commitment Syracuse University has for the military-connected by touring the National Veterans Resource Center. They engaged with Vice Chancellor Dr. Mike Haynie who spoke of Syracuse University’s historic commitment to veterans and how the NVRC will support the military-connected moving forward.
The NVRC represents an unprecedented commitment by Syracuse University to cultivate and lead innovative academic, government, and community collaborations positioned to empower those who have served in defense of the nation. The perfect place for those participating in the NSS session to view why Syracuse University continues to be “the best place for veterans”.
