As a student veteran, what can you expect from Syracuse University? What distinguishes this institution from others? A Syracuse University student veteran, Savion Pollard, shares his incredible experiences studying at the University.
“It would be very difficult to not get involved, ” Pollard said, “because everyone here just wants the best of you and just wants you to be a part of the community.”
Getting involved also means letting the underrepresented community be seen, said Vice Chancellor and Executive Director of IVMF, Dr. Mike Haynie.
“We wanted to use this building to create a coalition between those military-connected students and those students who have no one in their lives who can talk to them about those experiences. Like the good and bad and ugly of military service.”
