Clear Path for Veterans
A program targeted at helping Veterans in CNY with their transition out of the military, Clear Path for Veterans is a local community veteran and military family resource center located on a beautiful ridge overlooking Oneida Lake, 13 miles southeast of Syracuse University. They offer many services, resources and community events.
Team Red, White, & Blue
The city of Syracuse has a chapter of Team Red, White & Blue (RWB). Team RWB is a organization of veterans, military members and civilians that seeks to connect transitioning and active duty military members with the community.
Veterans Career Transition Program (VCTP)
The VCTP is one of the programs offered at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University. The program is delivered at no cost to post-9/11 veterans, their spouses, and spouses of active duty military. The VCTP is focused on preparing veterans, transitioning service members, and spouses for their next careers in operations/project management, HR, or IT. Participants become official SU students and receive non-credit certificates upon completion. Where applicable, the program will pay the graduate’s associated exam fees for industry certification, too. It offers 100% online coursework —accessible from any location, at any time– to participants who then have the opportunity to gain an understanding and insight into the corporate culture of civilian business/industry, government and other civilian sector employment opportunities.
