Hometown Hero: Alexis Stanley

United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Alexis Stanley is from Idaho Falls, Idaho, and she enlisted in the United States Air Force in March 2015. She graduated from the Security Forces Apprentice Course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in September 2015. Throughout her career, Technical Sergeant Stanley has held leadership roles in a wide range of mission areas including Nuclear Operations, Anti-Terrorism, Law Enforcement, Fly-Away Security, and Plans and Programs. Prior to her current assignment, Technical Sergeant Stanley served as a Flight Sergeant with the 72nd Security Forces Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Technical Sergeant Stanley’s operational contributions include operating an intelligence fusion cell where she collaborated with multiple federal agencies to brief senior Air Force leaders on threats related to the movement of nuclear assets. She also served as the Command Chief Executive Assistant for the 72nd Air Base Wing, coordinating strategic initiatives, managing high-level engagements, and advising on matters supporting twenty-six thousand personnel across six Major Commands, five Wings and Numbered Air Force, and forty-five joint mission organizations. Technical Sergeant Stanley deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility as part of the largest multinational joint operation in over 30 years, contributing to the seizure of three cartel aircraft and over $15 million in illegal narcotics.

Technical Sergeant Stanley’s awards and decorations include three Air Force Commendation Medals, two  Air Force Achievement Medals, and multiple awards for excellence in leadership and mission readiness.

Today, Technical Sergeant Stanley is promotable to Master Sergeant. She currently serves as an Officer Accessions Instructor and Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Sub-Region 5 in Detachment 535, Air Force ROTC at Syracuse University. In this role, she is the primary enlisted advisor on cadet academics, professional development, military discipline, and overall welfare. Technical Sergeant Stanley supports over forty cadets preparing for commission into the United States Air Force and United States Space Force, while also overseeing critical programs such as security clearances, enlistments, and commissioning procedures.
